Olly Coffey

Olly has been in the fitness industry for 25 years and he has developed a unique approach to exercise. His clients range from elite athletes to weekend warriors. He works with those who are fit and fully functional; and with those who are much less able and / or feeling a little ‘broken’. Regardless of which end of the spectrum you sit, Olly treats you as an individual. He teaches you to take control over your own health, function and / or performance. 

Olly has set out to create an inspiring space for his members to enjoy. He is most proud of the team he has around him, who all put their heart and sole into making Natural Fit a place where members love to come.

“I take a global approach to health and performance. Of course, all the usual advice around good quality sleep, hydration, nutrition and activity apply. Rather than sit in this space however, where there is this an abundance of information, I teach our members to be more perceptive and to learn to listen to their system ‘mind & body’. 

I use exercise as a platform to bring people’s attention to their mind and body. Within the fitness industry, there is a large focus on the ‘physical’; I also teach people to notice and interpret other key patterns that emerge during movement.

Learning to notice your energy levels for example, provides valuable insight into how well you are balancing those factors like sleep, hydration and nutrition. If you are feeling flat, this is probably a good sign that one or more of these things needs attention. 

Other indicators such as breath, muscular tension and posture allow us to monitor our internal state – mind & body. I teach people to use exercise as a platform to notice and adjust how they function during varied demand or stress. In our ‘fast-paced world, filled with distraction, this is a valuable lesson.

From this foundation, our health and performance potential improves exponentially and there are fewer limits on our health and performance potential”.
